A trip to Hearst Castle

These pictures are from a recent trip to see Hearst Castle. Mom and I enjoyed the tour, but one thing I walked away with after seeing this impressive castle and learning about the man behind it was that Mr. Hearst was in search of capturing a heavenly place. He succeeded by earthly standards, but I wonder if that success was ever fulfilling for him.
