Family and Thanksgiving

Grandma, Grandpa, Amy and Marc visited this last week. Anna had a fun time entertaining six adults instead of her usual two. Among the events/memories of the week were a trip to Santa Barbara Zoo, a visit to a local pacific beach, LOTS of time playing with everyone (Anna and Amy have many memories of crawling under the kitchen table, as soon as Amy came into sight Anna would say "Tunnel", and the crawling would begin.), and teaching pinochle to the '500'-loving family. We also celebrated Thanksgiving, and to round out the week Anna has increased her vocabulary with a few new words including "Howdy" and "Bummer".

One morning Anna decided to get up at the ungodly time of 5:30am...If this had happened with out anyone else around we would have just given her an earlier afternoon nap, but Grandma and Grandpa were watching her and this is how we found her at around 7:30. Eric and I were very surprised to see this for two reasons, first we've never seen her fall asleep on the sofa and second, it's unheard of that she would fall sleep at anytime other then her nap time. Have to say, though, it made her day a lot less crabby then if she had not had that mini morning nap!

All in all it was a great time with family and we are looking forward to our next face to face visit with them, whenever that may be.
