Tomorrow marks the beginning of the Lenten season...a time to meditate on Christ, and the beginning of trying to purposefully bring Lent into our home.
"Putting up" Easter is fun, exciting and sweet, but I hope it's more.
More; for Anna is a year older and I hope this will lead to her understanding a little more...more about her own sinfulness, her broken state, and that her brokenness is only redeemed by Jesus.
I'm still figuring out what's the best way to teach this love that God gives...she knows the story. Jesus died, he rose again; what's next? I'm excited to have her understand the awesomeness that is God.
That's what Lent will be this year, and maybe next year too.
Figuring out how to help our children grieve their sin and celebrate God's love.
