The Italian Job?

Day 1: Rome to Milan. The European version is 359 miles. Our (slightly less historic) U.S. version consisted of the following:

Gallons of gas purchased: 16.7
Miles driven: 452
Tolls: $10.20
Stops: 5 (FYI: includes lunch, visit with a friend, gas, and hotel)
Comments: The further we went from NY, the less rain we saw.
