Birthday Trike

An early Birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Hoelmer...and she's figured out how to go backwards (on all planes) and forwards (on flat planes).

The Weaving

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you will go" Psalm 32:8

So clearly God has set for us
The loom on which to
weave our lives.
He reads to us the pattern clear,
The hues and colors are our choice.

The warp is strung and twisted hard;
We hold the shuttle with the woof.
The pattern we must now design;
Within ourselves God leaves the proof.

Shall our years, then, useless be,
Filled with wasted indecision,
Sin and strife, uncertainty,
Ignoring God's divine instruction?

Or shall we see the beauty of
The colors which about us lie
With which to weave a pattern fine
Of useful life, not wasted time?

The choice is ours, a sacred trust,
God has conferred a holy right
To work with him and thus produce
A pattern fine:
A rich and satisfying life.
